Sandman Hotel Penticton, Penticton

The hotel was located right across from the elevator and next to the ‘smoking doors', which made it uncomfortable due to the strong smell of cigarettes in the non-smoking section. Despite the room being hot because of the pool and the faulty air conditioning, the hotel offered us another room without AC. Overall, it's not up to the standard of inner city hotels in London or Paris.

The hotel room was very small and definitely overpriced for what it is. The service encountered was very busy but very polite and welcoming, despite some staff members smoking weed right by the building entrance which made it smell like weed inside during their work hours. The location was good to attend a concert, with on-site facilities such as a bar and a 24-hour restaurant. The dining experience was like a breakfast at any Denis, with Denny's adjoining the hotel for quick meals.

The hotel pleasantly surprised me with its convenient location right by the pool, offering a cozy stay despite the small room size. The friendly and informative staff made my stay enjoyable, although the smell of weed from outside was a downside. The hotel's proximity to family-friendly spots and quick breakfast options make it suitable for various needs.
